Scope:

Responsible for conducting detailed supplier analyses including capability studies for prototyping to production, total cost analysis by commodity, cost of quality trends, develop and manage supplier relationships, and lead cost improvement efforts. Provide leadership on structured problem solving teams to proactively promote and contribute to continuous supplier improvement and a lower total cost solution within the supply chain. Ability to work with Product Line Managers to negotiate contracts with Suppliers that will meet cost and delivery needs of TTM. Forecast and manage inventory to the appropriate levels based on established goals and organizational objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support prototype and Engineering Method qualification activities to ensure the supplier will be able to meet the company's requirements and specifications.

  • Provide business support to the project engineering teams regarding supplier interfaces, supplier outgoing inspection criteria, and assist with supplier corrective action activities when required.

  • Flow down all customer requirements on supply chain to suppliers via T&C's, PO or Contract.

  • Travel to suppliers as required to resolve known issues or manage potential risks.

  • Work with Planning, Inventory Control & Operations to establish procurement plans that will minimize inventory levels while meeting revenue and customer service goals. React to changes in plans as required.

  • Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements including ITAR, export, import, SBA, Conflict Materials.

  • Enter purchase orders information into the management information system.

  • Print purchase orders and obtain signatures for high dollar purchases.

  • Negotiate purchase order prices and terms and conditions to meet cost saving targets.

  • Provide delivery status and follow up on delivery commitments obtained from suppliers.

  • Expedite material deliveries for production shortages or production schedule changes.

  • Obtain price quotes from suppliers for new programs.

  • Communicate engineering changes to suppliers in a timely manner.

  • Create and review supplier statement of work (SOW) documents.

  • Lead cross functional team to locate and qualify new material sources, review and determine disposition of slow moving and obsolete material.

  • Identify critical links in assigned commodity supply chains. Implement process improvements to strengthen weak links in those supply chains.

  • Work to develop customer relationships through collaboration, respect, professionalism, trust and integrity.

  • Listen to and understand customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectation.

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or related equivalent technical degree

Experience: 8 + years of procurement/buying experience in a related industry

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$61,340 - $102,233

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
