We are searching for a seasoned professional to fill the position of IT Director - Compliance and IT Business Partner to Vulcan's Legal and Audit functions. Reporting directly to the VP of IT Strategy & Governance, this role will play a crucial part in ensuring the alignment of our Information Technology practices with regulatory standards and company policies. The successful candidate will lead a team of compliance analysts, guiding them in the development of best practices and operational processes to govern our IT operations effectively.

What you'll do:

Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of compliance analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of governance and compliance activities.

Strategic Development: Collaborate with the VP of IT Strategy & Governance to develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance IT governance and compliance practices across the organization.

Operational Processes: Oversee the development and implementation of operational processes and activities to govern the overall business practice of Information Services and Technology, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Best Practices: Drive the development of best practices in IT governance and compliance, leveraging industry standards and benchmarks to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key liaison between IT and internal stakeholders, including Internal Audit, Corporate Legal, and business units, ensuring alignment of IT practices with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Resource Management: Manage resources effectively to ensure the timely delivery of required operational processes and activities, including staffing, training, and performance management.

Compliance Oversight: Provide oversight and direction on compliance initiatives, including segregation of duties, vendor risk management, and contract management, to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.

Master Data Governance: Stand up and lead the master data governance capability for IT, building best practices, templates, and toolkits to enable compliance, drive accountability in the teams, and chair the MDG committee.

Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on the status of IT governance and compliance activities, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM) preferred.

Extensive experience in IT governance, compliance, and risk management roles, with a track record of success in leading teams and driving process improvements.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT governance and compliance, including data governance, vendor risk management, and contract management.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.Proven ability to manage resources, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Experience working with compliance analysts or similar roles is preferred.
