Position Summary:

The Milling Machine Operator role is responsible for operating and maintaining the milling machine to shape and cut metal materials.

Schedule: 3p-11p. must train 7a-3p for at least 90 days.

Work You'll Do:

  • Set up and operate the milling machine according to specifications of the project.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or design schematics to understand the project requirements.
  • Select and install the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the milling process.
  • Adjust machine settings to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
  • Monitoring the machine while it's running to ensure its functioning properly and to prevent errors or malfunctions.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine to ensure its longevity and safety.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the milling process.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Team:

This role will be a part of the Large Parts and Components Team. This role will report to the Group Lead of the department.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma with 1 plus years of experience, Certificate from a Machining program, or combination of both training and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the milling process.
  • OR currently enrolled in a bona fide technical program if currently a high school student.
  • Blueprint and precision measuring tools preferred
