Painter Technicians will need to have experience in all aspects of production painting in an industrial environment including but not limited to repairing paint jobs, preparing surfaces to be painted, removing parts that are not to be painted, and controlling factors that determine the success of painting, along with maintaining inventory, inspecting fleet or materials to identify problems/defects.

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Various truck painting, prepping duties including sanding, scraping, painting, and placing decals.
  • Maintenance of truck pressure washer including clean up and inventorying supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company, OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Ensure all safety decals are on completed jobs.
  • General maintenance and other related duties.
  • Maintain truck painting/decaling supplies.
  • Complete required inventory and paperwork utilizing computer system.
  • Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices, and equipment.
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • May assist in other projects or areas of the shop as needed.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, and in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:

  • Ability to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training.
  • Ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability and willingness to be qualified as a commercial, non-CDL driver.
  • Ability and willingness to use the computer to account for own labor hours every day.
  • Ability and willingness to maintain an attitude that will help foster a positive environment.
  • Ability and willingness to develop positive working relationships with the team based on character and performance.
  • Must maintain a safe environment for self and for others.
  • A self-starter with an aggressive work ethic and to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass pulmonary test and respirator fit test.

Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:

  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable). CDL Preferred.
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Qualifications

Education
High School (preferred)
General Education Diploma (preferred)

Experience
2 years: Airless Paint Sprayer Experience (preferred)
