Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
Keeps Security supervisor informed of all issues, and potential problems.
Assists Supervisor with special and assigned projects such as locks and keys, security assessments, product reviews, etc.
Ability to perform essential duties with limited supervision. Use non-violent crisis intervention when needed to deal with visitors, patients, families and employees.
May deal with patients and customers in all age categories from infant to geriatric.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent GED
Valid driver's license and clean drivers record
Ability to achieve Basic Life Support, BLS certification within 90 days of hire (For Floyd Location: must have upon orientation)
Ability to successfully achieve Taser X-26 certification, baton and hand-cuff training
Former experience with a law enforcement agency, and/or military experience preferred.
Certified Healthcare Security officer (CHSO) with International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety certification required.
