Marketing and Communications Manager
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER POSITION

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for managing Lexington Habitat for Humanity's external communications, branding, and marketing. Additionally, this position provides professional support to affiliate departments and programs for communicating LHFH's mission to members of the community and marketing to prospective donors and customers.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Commitment to Lexington Habitat for Humanity's mission.
  • Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, digital media, business administration, or commensurate field/experience.
  • Demonstrates skills in problem-solving, multi-tasking, and working independently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple internal clients.
  • Strong proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software/databases.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in graphic design (utilizing PC software programs). Use of Adobe and Canvas preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in social media and web content management.
  • Experience in donor relations or non-profit management preferred.
  • Experience with media relations preferred.
  • Sales marketing (retail) experience preferred (but not required).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Works well with deadlines.

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
  • Time Requirements: Full-time (40 hours), some evenings and weekends
  • Permits & Licenses: Valid driver's license
  • Annual Pay: $58,000 - $62,00 (or commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits: Insurance (health, dental, vision), Paid Time Off, Holidays, 401K, Life & Disability Insurance

  • Work Location: Administrative Offices (Loudon Ave), ReStore (Southland Drive), program and event locations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement a marketing and communication plan, monitoring the success of multiple campaigns.
  • Provide professional support to all affiliate departments and programs regarding external communication needs.
  • Manage and prioritize marketing and communication needs across multiple internal clients.
  • Manage affiliate's branding standards and ensure compliance with requirements from Habitat for Humanity International.
  • Create marketing and communications collateral, ensuring consistency with Lexington Habitat's brand and messaging.
  • Produce Lexington Habitat's public digital communications and marketing content across multiple platforms.
  • Manage affiliate's advertising budget and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local media, seeking opportunities to highlight Lexington Habitat's programs and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

This position requires the physical ability to: operate computer and office equipment; remain stationary for prolonged periods of time; move about inside an office to access files, office equipment, etc.; communicate and exchange accurate information with others; occasionally move items (equipment, supplies, files, etc.) weighing up to 20 pounds within the office. The normal workplace will be in the office which is smoke-free, and temperature controlled. Some work may be in non-temperature-controlled conditions, possibly outdoors.
