Patient Access Coordinator

Hamburg

Full-Time, Days

Requirements:

  • Patient Access describes a multi-disciplinary function that is carried out at the point of service areas of the medical office.
  • Patient Access Representatives perform front office duties under the general direction of the Director or designee. These duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining cleanliness in all patient/family waiting areas; greeting patients and visitors; verifying patients' demographic and insurance information; pre-registering patient, registering patients; obtaining necessary signatures; scheduling appointments; ensuring patient flow; switchboard; and medical records management.
  • Customer service, clerical skills, fiduciary responsibility, and accuracy are extremely important in this role.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Training in Medical Clerical or Medical Secretary field preferred
  • * Minimum one year experience in Access Services related area (registration, patient accounting, financial services, healthcare insurance) preferred
  • Computer skills required.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
