Job Purpose

This position is responsible for driving new business through the sales of treasury services offered by the Bank. They are also a consultant and business partner to the Relationship Management (RM) team to ensure all Bank clients are offered the specific solutions to fit their individual needs. This can be accomplished through customized sales proposals, conducting cost/benefit analyses, building multiple pricing scenarios and identifying pricing improvements and margin opportunities. Participates in customer calls individually or jointly with partners. Partners with the Commercial Client Advisors team to provide exceptional customer service.

Job Duties

  • Develops and maintains profitable and quality cash management relationships with customers.
  • Responsibilities include sales prospecting, product pricing and structuring, customer proposals and consultation with clients and prospects.
  • Partner with the Commercial Client Advisors group to provide superior customer service to the commercial clients in your portfolio and market areas.
  • Perform an Annual Relationship Review for your commercial clients.
  • Meet individual budgeted sales goals for deposits, business service charges, and other fee income line items as specified
  • Assists in the development and delivery of a marketing plan.
  • Identifies Treasury Management sales opportunities through consultative, needs-based selling with both prospects and clients.
  • Carries out market, portfolio, and deposit strategies while identifying cross-sell opportunities for other lines of businesses within the bank.
  • Maintains strong industry knowledge, staying current on competitor offerings, and provides market and competitor feedback to ensure competitiveness.
  • Develop and maintain referral networks with appropriate industry contacts and centers of influence.
  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of all treasury management products and solutions and present client demonstrations as necessary.
  • Should maintain a minimum of one leadership or "high visibility" role outside the company.
  • Mentors other Treasury Management colleagues.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Job Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (5 years of proven sales experience) required.
  • Two or more years in Treasury Management, Commercial or Business Banking sales required.
  • Advanced sales, negotiation, and communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of bank products and continual development of product expertise is a must.
  • AAP or CTP designation or acquired within two years of being in the position.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor.
  • Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong organizational details with attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (5 years of proven sales experience) required.
  • Two or more years in Treasury Management, Commercial or Business Banking sales.
