Outpatient Nutrition Counseling Services

PRN (Min. of 2 days per week)

The Registered Dietitian provides outpatient nutrition education services to a wide variety of patients while providing evidenced based medical nutrition therapy. The RD utilizes guidelines from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and other credible sources. Works with an established team of Registered Dietitians in the outpatient setting, using different educational delivery methods and modes to provide high quality patient care.

The Registered Dietitian works collaboratively with the nutrition and diabetes department to meet department needs and goals. Clerical tasks, counseling activities, data collection and community outreach are included in the responsibilities. The RD will participate in the diabetes education program services, including the Diabetes Prevention Program.

PRN position, typically a minimum of two days a week, more when patient care needs arise.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:

  • Registered Dietitian, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Licensed Dietitian, State of Kentucky
