This position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

This position performs a variety of routine administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the physician clinic. The CMA is responsible for coordinating and performing general office functions and receptionist duties including greeting patients, maintaining patient schedules & patient reports, typing correspondence, filing, answering phones and transmitting messages. This position is clinically competent and assists in delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician.

Qualifications:

* Must have a valid CMA certification six months from hire/transfer date

* Basic Life Support (BLS) required 30 days from hire date

* Previous experience in physician office and billing preferred

* Previous experience performing venipunctures preferred
