ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments. Assists with Central Sterile Supply as needed.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Validates that all needed items are present prior to starting the procedure. Passes instruments to physician during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.
Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

Qualifications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent Required
Associate's Degree Preferred
Graduate of a Program Discipline in Surgical Technology Preferred
Required SkillsCertifications:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Schedule Day shift, 7-10 hr/shift, rotate weekends
