Essential Functions

Conducts screening and/or assessments in keeping with clinical knowledge, skill level, and department policies.
Refer callers to appropriate resources
Demonstrates sufficient understanding of services available in the surrounding community.
Interacts well with referral sources
Facilitates prompt communications in the best interest of the patient and the facility's operations.
Demonstrates knowledge of programs amp/or unit services, policies, and procedures.
Responds to request for mobile within 15 minutes and presents to location within 60 minutes.
Appropriately logs and submits completed assessments in a timely manner.
Documentation on Intake Call Sheets is complete and correct in all areas.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Human Services field, or Licensed Psychiatric
OR RN with a minimum of a BSN and psychiatric-mental health certification
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications:
Valid KY driver's license
NCI (nonviolent crisis intervention)
Minimum Work Experience
Three years' experience and knowledge in the area of mental health.
Prefer knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, and risk assessment, psychiatric diagnoses, symptomology, basic chemical dependency, age specific growth and development, and experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.

Work Schedule PRN - rotate weekends, various shifts
