Dept: Radiology

First Shift

Job Description:

  • Supplies health care services using radioisotopes to aid in diagnosis or treatment (therapies).
  • Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a Radiologist or a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and supports a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
  • Recognizes various patient conditions to supply proper patient care to ensure successful exam completion.

Requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of an education program in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
  • Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) N or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry.
  • PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours (about 4 weeks) of clinical experience.
