Job Description:

Part-time Second Shift

  • Demonstrates high level of competency for all community pharmacist functions and assists manager with oversight of pharmacy operations and personnel.
  • Supports the orientation, training, and development of community pharmacy staff.
  • Sustains professional competence and promotes development through participation in in-services, workshops, seminars, and professional organizations.
  • Supports implementation of pharmacy services in collaboration with associated department services
  • Ensures compliance with Baptist Health policies, 340B program (if applicable), accrediting bodies, REMS compliance, third party payers (including audits), and state and federal regulations.
  • Ensures timely completion of all claim and invoice reconciliation.
  • Maintains record retention in accordance with Baptist Health policies and state and federal regulations.
  • Ensures adequate control and documentation of controlled substance ordering, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains compliance with immunization protocols and current training including BLS CPR certification.
  • Ensures integrity of medications by assuring storage under proper conditions (e.g., refrigeration) and security
  • Monitors drug shortages and implements solutions to avoid therapy delays.
  • Supports the development and implement.

Minimum Education and Training

  • Kentucky and/or Indiana Board of Pharmacy license in good standing as applicable to practice site
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Current immunization certificate required within six (6) months of hire.
  • Community experience preferred.
