3F is a 24-bed unit certified by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Offering the latest, innovative care for the stroke population, setting the hospital's treatment of stroke patients among the best in the nation. 3F specializes in Ischemic Stroke Patients, Post-acute Hemorrhagic Stroke Patients, continuous EEG, and provides care to stable cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Patients are often admitted from the emergency department, transfers within the hospital, direct admissions from outlying facilities and physician's offices. 3F offers comprehensive services to assist with stroke recovery and provide great quality outcomes to all patients with a multidisciplinary approach.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
* Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years. This supports the organizational goal of 80% of all nurses obtaining a bachelor's degree or higher by 2020.
* Basic Life Support
* ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
