We want you on our team...Bourbon Community Hospital located in Paris, a 20-minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a PRN, a Medical Lab Technologist who performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

Follows standardized procedures and helps prepare samples for testing.

Collects samples and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities. Collects blood and study blood samples used in transfusions

Operates laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.

Analyzes test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and reports/documents results per organizational standards.

Performs automated tests using computerized instruments & automated equipment.

Runs tests and analyzes the results to be reported to the physician or registered nurse.

Performs Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Licensure to reflect education requirement

Bachelor's degree - Preferred

Required Skills

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Licenses:

Medical Technologist License through ASCP or AMT - Preferred

Primary Location Kentucky-Paris
Schedule Per Diem/PRN
Work Schedule PRN - rotate weekends, various shifts
