Job Description:
Full-time, Days
3 GH is a 37 bed post operative surgical unit focusing on care of the orthopedic, neuro/spine patient population. This includes but is not exclusive to elective hip and knee replacements, fractures, shoulder repairs and replacement, foot, ankle and hand surgery, as well as neuro spine surgeries such as laminectomies, discectomy, anterior and posterior fusions as well as post craniotomies and neurovascular surgeries. The unit has an aggressive and comprehensive ERAS and pain management program and has been accredited by the joint commission as a Total Joint Center for Excellence. The goal is to provide excellent, high quality evidenced based care in an environment that promotes healing and recovery utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach with the priority focus always on the patient.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required:
* Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.
* Basic Life Support
* ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
