OFCCP Basics for Construction Contractors
November 8, 2018 - 8:00am PST / 9:00am MST / 10:00am CDT / 11:00am EST

Construction companies involved in federal projects have affirmative action obligations, and these obligations are often very different than those faced by companies that are not involved in construction projects.  Meeting these obligations is complicated by the fact that the federal government has provided far less guidance to construction companies about their affirmative action obligations than the guidance provided to other types of organizations.

Join the LocalJobNetwork team and Bill Osterndorf, President of HR Analytical Services, as we review the basic affirmative action requirements for construction companies involved in federal projects.  We will review the affirmative action laws that apply to construction companies and when these laws apply to construction companies.  We will then examine the most significant actions that construction companies must take under each of the federal affirmative action laws.  We will close by discussing how a construction company should prepare for an affirmative action compliance review.

Discussion Topics:

  • The federal affirmative action laws
  • Executive Order 11246 requirements
  • Individuals with Disabilities requirements
  • Protected veterans requirements
  • Compliance reviews for construction
  • Live Q&A
