Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements:
- Responsible for repairs and required preventative maintenance of Class tractors
- Perform safety inspections on tractors making sure that documentation required by the FMCSA, DOT, Federal, State and local regulations are met
- Ability to read and write description of mechanical problems and repairs
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of mechanics
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematic diagrams
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Welding experience a plus
- Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
- Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to perform safety sensitive tasks
- Regular and predictable performance
- Ability to work productively in personal protective equipment throughout work shift in all weather conditions
- Agility to access and repair components on heavy equipment
- Agility to climb onto, into and out of equipment using ladder

Education / Experience: |
Candidate should have a HS Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience |
Job Specific Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: |
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical
- Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to collaborate and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
